Hello. This is Yak Tack.
Yak Tack is a straightforward application designed to assist individuals in retaining English vocabulary.

We hold a deep appreciation for words and strive to combat the common issue of forgetting their meanings.

<li>Have you ever found yourself in a discussion by the campfire where someone repeatedly uses a word like "ostensibly"? Did you have to search the definition on your phone?</li>
<li>Ostensibly: as appears or is stated to be true, though not necessarily so; apparently</li>
<li>Have you ever encountered the term again in an article the following week and realized you had already forgotten its meaning? We are not immune to this either.</li>
</ul>

Implementing a spaced repetition approach alleviates these issues. Spaced repetition is a memorization method aimed at enhancing recall. In our app, we employ this technique to help users memorize word meanings. Initially, reminders are frequent but gradually lessen over time – a process we call "tacking."

We owe our expansion of vocabulary to interactions with others. Discovering new words from peers has been pivotal in our language learning journey. Hence, we facilitate connections with fellow language enthusiasts on Yak Tack, turning them into your virtual campfire companions who introduce you to new vocabulary words they're exploring.

Yak Tack has a global reach, including popularity among English learners in Japan. Our platform simplifies the process of grasping word definitions even for non-native speakers, promoting effective language learning.
